If you can remember waaaaay back to 05.07.10 you'll remember that we had the pleasure of helping legendary drummer Ron Krasinkski and his wife after the flood this month. Well we got to go see he and his band "The Bicho Brothers" play at Puckett's in downtown Franklin tonight. It was an AWESOME show with some incredible covers. Tons of talent in the room tonight. Here's a shot of Ron on the drums.

Agfa Record Billy - 05.16.10

Blakley's Grandfather, "Art" was in Germany in the early 40's for that thing they call World War II. His unit came across the Leica camera companies' abandoned factory and Art got one of their cameras at that time. He traveled with it but never really figured out how to use it. In 1943 he traded the Leica for this Agfa camera and made many photos with it throughout the war.

Blakley, Sally and I had the pleasure of helping out a family this afternoon who's house flooded last weekend. We didn't know who we were going to help, we just had an address and knew there was a need. They just found out at 10:00 this morning that they had to move out of their home so all of the subflooring (among many other things) in their home can be replaced in the coming months. Come to find out, one of the homeowners is an accomplished drummer who has toured with many bands over the years. They have a long road ahead of them. You can see the water line on their fence in this picture. Despite the high water choking out much of their landscaping, this one flower stayed above the water and is still alive. Perhaps a sign that there is hope.

This shot is from the same area as the day before. This car must have tried to make it down the street at some point after dark. It floated off the road and ended up in someone's yard.

The Flood - 05.01.10

So it rained in Nashville on Saturday and Sunday. It rained a lot and for a long period of time. Apparently, the flooding we have here isn't really making much of a news splash nationwide unless you look for it. Here was my view from our living room. That house generally has a yard out back and not a river. Over the next 48 hours the water at this intersection got much higher and flooded many of the area homes.
